When a good collaboration grows into something that lasts for years, it becomes more than just a project\u2014it creates a future. That\u2019s exactly what connects us with Naturefund e. V..<\/p>

Back in 2024, with their support, we were able to reach an important milestone: the purchase of Hacienda El Dorado\u2014a significant area in the La Gamba biological corridor (COBIGA).<\/p>

What started back then as a first initiative is now being consistently developed further. We\u2019re very happy that Naturefund will continue to support us in acquiring additional land in this ecologically valuable region.<\/p>

Recently, we were also able to deepen this partnership in person: Katja Wiese (Managing Director and founder of NatureFund e.V.) visited La Gamba and gained a direct impression on site of the region\u2019s diversity and importance. Together with Anton Weissenhofer and R\u00e0mon Enguianos Requena (COBIGA), she explored the area around the La Gamba Tropical Research Station and visited key project sites. The enthusiasm was tangible\u2014for the impressive biodiversity as well as for our association\u2019s long-term commitment.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Since 2003, Naturefund e. V. has stood for a consistent approach to nature conservation: land is acquired specifically to permanently secure habitats for animals and plants. The focus is on meadows, forests, and wetlands\u2014primarily in German-speaking countries, but also in international projects such as reforestation and ecological restoration. Especially valuable is the close cooperation with local partner organizations and the clear commitment to creating sustainable structures rather than short-term solutions. Over the years, Naturefund has been able to protect numerous areas, plant trees, and secure valuable habitats.<\/p>

<\/p>

Having Naturefund\u2014another experienced and excellently connected partner organization from the German-speaking region\u2014by our side is a major gain for us. Together, we can pool our strengths, share knowledge, and take targeted action where protection is crucial today.
Looking ahead, the goal is clear: more land in the biological corridor is to be secured, habitats connected, and preserved for the long term. Step by step, this creates a strong network for the rainforest\u2014supported by people who don\u2019t just think about tomorrow, but act today.<\/p>
